Talk: 13th October > “Fraternal economy for communities + SABER for better resilience”
Living in community is a great way to learn & allows us trying new ways of relating. The well-being of the community is possible only if all people have their needs covered and the economy is an energy that can help. Fraternal Economy is an organizational system where each person has a salary depending on their needs, not on their contributions or privileges and a decision.
Sergi Caballero is one of the founders of the co-op Mas Les Vinyes. The intentional community started on 2013 in a rural area in Catalonia’s center, 60kms far from Barcelona. They manage 25 hectares through permaculture design & regenerative agriculture for producing lamb, vegetables, fruit, honey, pork, eggs & chicken.
Mas Les Vinyes is also a permaculture teaching & demo farm. In the last years Sergi have been involved in Permacultura Ibera and BiorNE, Spanish permaculture networks. Actually is working on designing large-scale regenerative agroforestry farms & biologically intensive vegetable production on Mediterranean climate zones.
